This was an interesting selection of stories, compiled by more than 30 Amish men and women, who tell their stories about the simple life that is found among the Amish. They will tell their stories and give you a glimpse of what it is really like to be Amish.
You will see their fun times and their tears, their laughter, their wisdom, and their desire to live "plain". I learned a lot about them by reading this book, and appreciated the authors (see paragraph below) and their work to make this happen.

I'm not much on Amish fiction, but this one caught my curiosity, so I thought I'd give it a try. I loved it! It was different from most Amish fiction in that the Englisha girl wanted to join the Amish; not the Amish wanting to leave their world and become Englisha.

I also was impressed that it was written mostly from the women's point of views; but the author is a man! Very well-written, very interesting characters, very masterful weaving of setting and two sub-cultures into one plot. I can't wait for the next one!… (mais)
