A various group of ghost stories separated by the state they occur in. Some of them were enjoyable but some were sinister. Wish there had been some from North Carolina.

It says Civil War and other Southern ghost stories but it's really devoted to Southern ghost stories. This was filled with numerous creepy ghost stories and hauntings. Although nothing is really researched or noted as being a true story from Fate magazine was more things that go bump in the night and things to make you jump. Was different than many of the ghost story books I've read in the past.

I did not care for this enough to finish it, but don't let that stop anyone who loves ghosts and stories about ghosts from reading it. The stories came across to me as poorly written and highly unsupported. Just a "he said/she said" type of thing. Not for me.
