Sobre mimRecently changed my user name from djay666. As Wolfy was already taken, I've added the AHS tag to my new name. I'm a 43 year old confirmed bachelor (wouldn't be fair to inflict me on anyone permanently) born and bred in Manchester, England where I've lived all my life.

Prior to participating in this wonderful place I had mainly stuck my head into the Fantasy genre with a bit of Sci-Fi thrown in for a change. This year I am looking to expand my horizons and have undertaken the 999 and Reading Globally challenges with this in mind.

Other passions include Japanese rock music and anime. Alternatively known as [AN]Wölf_Brother in my anime communities.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaEverything listed in My Library is physically owned by me. I've never been great at reviewing or rating things so don't expect too much from me on that score.

Guide to my ratings

* - Didn't like the story or the style of writing
** - Didn't really like it but has some redeeming qualities
*** - A decent to ok read
**** - Very good
***** - Excellent
Read but unrated probably means I don't remember enough about the book since I read it last.

Thank you for participating in my new thread.
hey--just wanted to say i was so taken by the title of the book by brookmyre you posted on the 'silly game' group, A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil, that i looked up the author. unfortunately, the only way to get them on cd in the US is, as with terry pratchett, to order them from the UK at about $80 a pop and i can't afford that. americans are sooooo clueless. ;)

i did find downloads of the *rubber ducks* and *snowball in hell* that were affordable. i've listened to a sample of *snowball* and am quite taken with it so have bought the mp3.

thanks for broadening my horizons. :)

Inviting some people to the thread I just started. Thought it might be of interest to you.

Hey there Dave. A few years ago I had never heard of our friend Jeeves. My husband loves all the old British shows and turned me into a Jeeves fan. I have to agree with you about reading and seeing these facial expressions and ways. It really is an enjoyable read. I think I may have read two but not sure. I have picked up a few more along the way that I just haven't got around to yet. There are just too many books out there that I feel I have to read. I never know what the next book will be. I keep it as a surprise to myself. I have many many books that I myself own but friends to recommend books to me and ask me to read them. For the most part I do enjoy them all. I feel they have all made me think, feel, learn, and all have given me a place to go to other than my busy life.

I am glad that you are enjoying your book. I will have to check out your library before I forget.
Seeing that you were reading Carry on Jeeves. I believe that is the only book of his too but what a delightful book it is. I have many times seen the show on tv, but the book is so much better, don't you think?
