Sobre a minha bibliotecaWell, It's basically 3 shelves in my bedroom that I've TRIED to organize... but it's basically just some standard shelves in my closet with books toppling over every time I open the door. But I like it like that, I've found great books I haven't read in a long time (or have forgotten to read) like that! My family also has a 'formal study' that no one uses but me, and we keep a lot of really old and rare books. I also have a few boxes of kids books in the attic that I should dust off sometime...

As to the genre's, it's mostly young adult, historical fiction, fantasy, and the classics. I also have some crack pickings, like two Rush Limbaugh books (which were very interesting) and The Stinky Cheese Man (very amusing!)

Noticed you liked White Oleander, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more before you commit:

Hi,

We're both in the completely dead AP English Literature group (there's almost 400 books with only three members- go us!), so I just randomly looked at your profile. I totally agree with you on the Looking for Alaska, Little Miss Sunshine, and disliking your current friends thing. :-)

Have read A Separate Peace for AP Lit yet?
I've started a group thats dedicated just to discussing HP and the Deathly Hallows. its called HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS ONLY. We could all post about the last book there so that is will be contained and we won;t have to worry as much aobut spoilers. Join when you finish the book.
Thanks for joining the group! Feel free to invite your friends, start topics, and generally be as involved as you're interested in being.
I noticed you mentioned that your grandpa worked for Bakewell in the U.P. That's cool. My mom actually got the book signed by Elizabeth Bakewell somewhere in the U.P. That's way cool that your uncle worked for the Bakewells. Does he have any good stories from William?

Later,

Ray
how cool is naming your LibraryThing Alaska Young?

Very cool.

Thanks,
John
