==============================
Sobre a minha bibliotecaMy "Your Library" collection shows only those books that I keep today in my personal home library / man-cave. (My wife and daughters have extensive libraries of their own which are not included here.) Books in this collection generally reflect my current tastes. At present, my home library contains about 800 books.
My "Read But Unowned" Collection consists of books that I borrowed and returned, or books that I once owned but have since removed from my home library due to a lack of shelf space. Many of these volumes were first perused by me three decades ago, and are portrayed here solely as nostalgic reminders of my awkward teen years.
Whenever possible, bookcovers depicted in my collections represent the actual covers of the books I have read.
Book Rating System:
5 Stars: (My Personal Favorites) -- books I'd take with me to the proverbial desert island.
4 Stars (Excellent), 3 Stars (Good), 2 Stars (Fair), 1 Star (I Really Disliked It), 1/2 Star (Terrible)
If a book has no star rating, I have not yet read it but I plan to. Two books with the same number of stars aren't necessarily of comparable literary quality, because my expectations vary by genre or author. I might award five stars to a Shakespearean drama and five stars to a 1950s-era science fiction novel, because I appreciate them both for what they are. A biography or history book will get high marks if I thought it was engrossing, accurate, and if I largely agreed with the author's interpretation. I evaluate science texts on clarity and accuracy. Essays, poetry and philosophical works are graded on the degree to which they resonate with me. Picture books and coffee table books are appraised solely on beauty. I judge all other reference books by their editing and usefulness.

I notice that you have included me in your list of 'Interesting Libraries',for which many thanks.
It has taken me many (many)years to put together and it is still growing at a steady old pace. The ever present problem is of course storage !. Some time ago I had an extension built on the back of our house,and the idea was to put all of our books in there and declare the rest of the house a book-free zone . Did it work ? did it heck. After a while they started spreading once more,and now they are everywhere. Mind you I'm not complaining,I love the things.
I have just spent some time looking through your interesting collection and find that we are certainly in accord regarding quite a few titles. Also on favourite authors such as Dickens,Doyle,Wells and Scott.
Have just reciprocated and added you to my list of Libraries of Interest too.
All the best from the English Midlands.
Hope to hear from you again.
