Sobre mimI'm a fantasy novelist who publishes with Tor books and Scholastic Press. Best thing about being published? Free books. Lots of them. :)

Sobre a minha bibliotecaThe ones I've uploaded so far is just a random sampling of some of my favorites and some I've been reading lately. I'll probably post more eventually.

Not sure if you visit here often, but I thought I'd stop by. Thanks for making 'Warbreaker' available as an ebook I'm really looking forward to reading this soon. One thought I’ve had recently, and I hope it doesn’t add too much extra work:

Please check/fill in all the supplimentary created by/ summary title fields. E-readers (at least the Sony) have a nasty habit of not choosing the obvious ‘title’ as the work title and instead pickup metadata from the summary fields. If these are incomplete or non-logical the books appear to be called ‘Untitled’ (this is how warbreaker appears) or someother weird names, often without an attributed author. It is difficult for the user to edit this data! and hence find the book they are looking for.

Thanks
Can't wait for the book signing Tuesday!
Mr. Sanderson,

I just finished "Mistborn" and wanted to compliment you on a fantastic literary piece. It was, in my opinion, superb beyond compare. I loved it. I have a copy of "Well of Ascension" in the mail on its way, and it probably won't last long when I get it. I hope you write many more books; you are an extremely talented individual.

-Philip Troy
Brandon-
Met you in Redmond, WA last evening... April, with Nick. I asked you about who killed Asmodean. You answered so quick, I'm sure you've had that one posed to you a lot! Anyway, I look forward to your next book as well as aMoL. RJ made a great choice and I know you'll do him proud!
Brandon: I just posted my review of Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians. Of course, I loved it. If you get time, you might want to check my library for a rave review. When is the next installment???
I just finished Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians. I hope you had as much fun writing it as I did reading it! It was hilarious and brilliant--an absolute blast. This was the first book of yours that I have read (so far). I'm looking forward to reading the next Alcatraz book, and I've heard many good things regarding your Mistborn books, as well. So, wishing you continued success. Happy Reading (and writing)!
Thanks for being such a great writer, I'm really enjoying your books. Finished Elantris, the 1st 2 Mistborns and Alcatraz 1, pre-ordered the final Mistborn and the 2nd Alcatraz. I even got a friend who is a school librarian to move reading Alcatraz up on her to-do list, so maybe that will generate another sale! Take care and keep on writing!
My boss lent me Elantris, which felt a little like homework (it's my boss! I HAVE to read it! I have to LIKE it!), but I'm so glad he did! It is wonderful, and so is Mistborn - I just finished it, as well. Why wasn't homework this wonderful in school? Can't wait to start Well of Ascension! :)
A friend recommended Mistborn and I'm forever grateful! I just went to enter it into my LT library and noticed that you'd been added to my page as a LT author; how fun! I really enjoyed the book, the pace, the level of thoughtfulness and the characters are all terrific. I've already started book 2 and can't wait for book 3. I'll be reading Elantris in the meantime. Keep up the great work and thanks very much for the fun. I really admire the work you do and am grateful for the entertainment and company during long nights.
Hi Brandon!

I've just read Elantris as part of a group read for the waterstones of southampton reading group. I loved it! there is sooo much for the group to talk about :) Its also given the group leader Robin another look at fantasy which is something he never really cared for but he is raving about Elantris *Cheer*
Brandon,

I was putting off reading The Final Empire as long as I could, trying to close the gap between December when you signed it for me and October, when Hero of the Ages is due out, but things don't always go according to plan, and I just finished it. It's a good thing the FrontRunner train is up and running, because I was completely absorbed in Final Empire during my commute! Here is the review I posted on LibraryThing and GoodReads, in case you're interested:

I just read Mistborn: The Final Empire, the first book in a series by Brandon Sanderson. I was impressed by the practical system of magic that Sanderson devised in Elantris, and he outdid himself with the new system employed in Mistborn. The new system, Allomancy, is based on using the properties of certain metals and their alloys to accomplish specific feats, which, though magical, still follow the laws of physics. As I read I found myself wishing I was able to Ironpull, to feel the satisfying smack of a metal object summoned into my hand. I never actually attempted it, but it was a powerful desire. Sanderson succeeded in suspending my disbelief, and for that I call him by that most magical appellation: Storyteller.
Hi,

I just finished reading Mistborn, and wanted to thank you for a fun read. I haven't read much fantasy or speculative fiction beyond Tolkien and Lovecraft. On a whim I signed up for a collection of free e-books from Tor.com that included volume 1 of your Mistborn trilogy. I had a great time reading it, and I'll be heading to the bookstore this afternoon to pick up the sequel!

Thanks!
Hello, I just joined LT so I have no books listed. I read that you were going to finish WoT so I bought Elantris to see what your writing was like. WOW!! My son got to it first and loved it, then I read it. Fabulous. Loved your new and unique ideas. I've since ordered Mistborn and can't wait to get it. My husband was looking for a new book to read about an hour ago. I took a book he was looking at out of his hands, handed him Elantris and said Oh no, you've got to read THIS next! Keep writing, great work.
What classes do you teach at BYU? I'd love to take one.
I thought you might be interested to know that the Tor newsletter is doing good for you: I got a free pdf of Mistborne in my email, and went out to buy myself a paper copy as soon as I finished reading the e-book.
Saw you in the Green Dragon, wanted to welcome you to the pub! Also wanted to let you know that your triad system for The Final Empire is possibly the coolest magical system I've read/encountered in EONS. Welcome!
Congratulations on being selected to finish The Wheel of Time! I was very happily surprised when I saw the announcement. :D
Congrats on getting to finish the WoT. I'll be looking forward to reading it.
WoT WOOT!

My most heartfelt congratulations, Brandon. You're the right man for the job!

-Danny Birt
Just heard the news about WoT. Congratulations! I expect you're going to be VERY busy for a while now. Hopefully you come by now and then and say hello and update us on the progress!
Thanks for the addition to your circle of friends, hopefully there's room for one more...
Just a quick note to let you know I enjoyed reading Elantris very much. I read Mistborn previously and am now awaiting the moment to begin The Well. Keep up the good work.

I am glad you are a part of LibraryThing.
Don't be wary of posting in The Green Dragon's book discussions. We'd love to have your input on His Majesty's Dragon, to start.
Hey Brandon. Thanks for contributing to GD Elantris thread. It's great to get the real scoop directly from the source. And the book is fantastic!

You said you're LDS. Are you a Battlestar Galactica fan, by any chance? It's another of my obsessions and I think the cosmology was based partly on LDS teachings.
Hey Brandon. Noticed that you posted in one of the groups I'm a member of and thought I'd just stop by and say hello. Didn't know you were on LT, and I'm glad to see you around!
Ah, hello there! I'm a university student, and I just thought I'd comment that I thoroughly enjoyed your book Elantris. I thought "finally, someone has written a compelling, entertaining, and interesting stand-alone fantasy novel that I actually *want* to recommend to people"... haha. In fact, I ended up buying it as a Christmas present for several friends. Looking forward to reading Mistborn when my exams are done. :)
Hey, Brandon. Ran across you on some of the topics in the Green Dragon. I took the liberty of adding your author record and your works to another book website that I frequent Internet Book Database of Fiction {and nonfiction} (IBDoF.com). It has a pretty cool forum as well if you want to come check it out sometime.
