I saw the "A Day in the Country" exhibit in Los Angeles. Although the room of Monet haystacks was an education--nay, a revelation--the high point of the exhibit for me was standing in front of Van Gogh's irises. It was the first time that I had ever connected viscerally with a painting.

Hi, I have to say thank-you for noting some of the pages and recipes for ones that you tried and liked or not our in some of your cookbooks. That is exactly what I am doing and so far.. you are the only person that I haved run into that is doing that! We have a few cookbooks in common and I am always interested in who else keeps tracks of their tried recipes!

Falling Cloudberries is *beautiful* isn't it? Not so sure that the recipes excite me all that much.

And yes, I'm working on persuading our publishing department to get involved in the Early Reviewers program. I think it's a very promising idea for them!
