Hi Emily;
Thank you for the well wishes.
I do enjoy reading and get good relaxation from it, except for some of those heart thumping thrillers.
Mike
I love that park! was there as a kiddy many years ago... so don't remember much... but its a valid excuse to go again ;)

Naa, not my kitty, its a pic I poached off an email I got, thought it was cute.

I live with my aunt, and she has 3 Maine coons (BIG cats), but they are spoilt and have no manners! I would LOVE a cat of my own, but these three are particularly vicious to strange cats, and I don't want them teaching any kitty of mine that the whole house, my bed and bathroom in particular = litter tray!

So I have a pair of Gerbils to fill the space in my heart reserved for 'small and furry' ;)
LOVE the profile picture :)

Hi Emily! Welcome to the GD! nice to have some folks closer to home on the forum!
Yeh. The forecast was a minimum of 12° -- it was already 13° when I got home at just after 6, and the sneaky little wind is coming from cold-front side. Probably rain during the night, but not much. We're on top of the first escarpment, so not too much worries -- but Domoina did cause the streams on both sides of our suburb to rise far enough to cut the place off for a week. Many thanks for the thought!
The news tonight mentioned floods in Cape Town. Thinking of you and hoping they haven't affected you. -- h
Hi Emily

There is also a way of sorting threads by clicking on the appropriate field in the header line. Could you have done so by mistake or is it only me that's that ham-fisted?

I put the Janny Wurts book into my wish-list so haven't read it yet. But thoroughly enjoyed To Ride Hell's Chasm and Janny's posts in the GD. (you're the second person I know of who's been caught by this new feature of Collections, BTW) Haven't read any more by Janny 'cos neither our local Exclusives nor Durban City Libraries seem to think it a good idea to start series before about no. 7, by which time I've lost all hope of figuring out the back story.

Today is the kind of day that justifies Durban's reputation as Holiday City -- calm, sunny, not too hot, not too cold ... there must be a cold front on the way!

All best
Hugh
Hi Emily, and greetings from Durbs!

Tried to read what happened to your group topics in the GD, but only got a blank screen.

Not sure if this is relevant, but from time to time cyberspace (Telkom or LT) decides to log me out of LT unasked. This generally shows by marking all or no threads as having unread posts. The only solution I know is to go back to the home page; if you are logged in this will be yours and if not it will be the generic one. In the latter case, log in again and the site will start to behave normally. Actually, it might just be worth logging out and in again to flush out any garbage lurking where you can't see it.

Hope this helps
Hugh
