Sobre mimI am a young, creative author that writes speculative fiction and Fantasy. I enjoy a mix of the modern and the mythical, kind of like urban fantasy, but also I love Terry Pratchett's Discworld books for their originality and humor. Neil Gaiman is another one of my favorites. When I'm not working on my latest book, I'm playing guitar, ukulele, painting and drawing my illustrations, as well as appreciating visits to Art Galleries and book talks. I have a twin brother who's at University now, and he visits me occasionally.

I have not watched Slumdog Millionaire, but I've heard good things about it.
I'm going to start The Stand this weekend for the King's Constant Readers group. We're rereading all of King's books in order of publication.
I'm glad that you're doing well. Stay in touch!

HUGS to you Jake, you're a good guy, and I wish you the very best. By now I hope you have sought help, it is of critical importance that you do regardless of where you stand in reality.
Speaking personally, you still have my complete respect and friendship, I think your heart is in the right place, and I wish you the very, very best, my good man! Peace, my friend!

I just typed in the http://www.comingupforair.net and got the site and at the top is a menu with ojingogo as one of the choices. When I clicked on it they said they wre revamping the site but a picture still appeared with a previous button and I could look through the pictures but it doesn't give the comic layout like it used to do. Hopefully when they finish the revamp the strip will still be there.
The whole site looks different today and a lot of the drawings and messages are not there, which is a shame as for someone interested in this sort of art and artwork the site was really good.
I'd say to keep trying to find it because it is worth the look when you do. I originally found it by putting the search "free art" into google to see what came up. Quite a lot actually and not all of it pretty (or polite!) but some good stuff came back too and Ojingogo was one of the good bits.

Thank you for the friendship add. I see you've been to my side of the world, as your profile photo suggests. I've also visited Sydney twice and had a great time! I can't wait for the next trip.
Happy Reading,

Congrats on the royalties -- you've made more than i did on mine, tho'/as mine were part of the job.
When was the Leunig cartoon? I suspect us naughty schoolboys were mangling the carol when your parents were still in nappies, or at least in primary school!

I stumbled across this blog post from the fairly well established writer kate Elliot who I've not read, about how to write and get published, which you've posted a few times about. Just thought you might be interested.

where was i?
i don't know how much you know about me, so here's a few:
i'm 56. employed more often then not. read a lot of poetry and now and then write a bit.
and i don't know what this connection can do, i tend to turn in to the old story-teller old man sort when i find myself conversing with 20 year olds,
so, if you're patient, you can probably just nod now and then, pretend you're listening, and i won't even seem to notice.
have you submitted any of your writing anywhere? and if so, how's that working out?

I've been following a few threads in which you've posted. I'm not going to reiterate what others have argued to death already. The only thing I will add is that in the publishing industry, no matter who you are or in what you succeed, there will be those who will find reason to look down on you. So long as you believe in yourself, in what you do, and in how you do it, those who believe similarly will gather around you.
Moral of the story: Much like a hardcover on a book, a thick skin on an author will go a long way.
