Sobre mim Languages, spec fic, languages and languages. If it's not sci-fi or fantasy, it's probably languages. Or YA. Or a mixture. They're the best.
Waiting for better Chinese capability, so I can list them...

Sobre a minha biblioteca 50% languages 48% spec fic. A few other bits.

Fantastic topic in The Green Dragon (Oops! My bad!). I have not laughed so hard for awhile, even though much of it is in wry recognition. I especially identified with your 2nd post.
Thank you for the welcome. I'm not surprised Butler is not well-known in Australia because I do not believe she is not as well-known here in the States as well. However, her books are very well-written and always a pleasure to read! Its a shame that she is no longer with us because I always looked forward to her books.
Given how few decent pubs there are in Canberra is it any wonder I end up in an online one :). I just assumed from your linguistic books and your desire for better Chinese capability that we shared a faculty...but if we're in the same building we've probably shared a few experiences. Like being stuck in the building's lift. You're not truly part of the building till that happens.
Regarding Torchwood, My TiVo cut off early, right in the middle of the line at the end that James Marsters delivers, "Oh by the way I found..." I almost screamed. Can you by any chance tell me what/who he said? Thanks!
Thanks, Will! I appreciate it!
Many many thanks!!!!! I truly appreciate your help! esta
OK I posted to flickr. . . but now what??? (Help needed obviously tho you did get me this far, for which I thank you!) ****Looks best elarged.
Scratch that last. I found the online bookstore link you sent to someone else and ordered the books from them. (Maybe you should get a commision?)
Anyway, the book prices were great but the $42 to ship was a pinch. Ahhh but what can I say, I am hooked on this story.
:0)
How much do the Ranger's Apprentice books sell for over there?

Just curious because they are going for as much as 25 US dollars on Ebay.
Thanks for the link!
I'd noticed that there were a lot more Ranger's Apprentice books available in Australia than here in the USA, but I wasn't sure of the exact number. I don't know how to get my hands on them either, except to wait very impatiently for the US versions to be released.
I just noticed that we share a birthday! Terrific date!
Hi,
one of your books by Stephen Lawhead, namely Arthur, has the author entered differently from the rest. It shows up as ", Stephen Lawhead" in last/first view of author name, and separates this book from his others when sorted by author. I guess it's not what you intended - probably bad input from Amazon.
Regards, Jim Roberts
Re: student denial - You should check out my favorite new online comic strip, PhD (Piled Higher and Deeper), which offers a shirt I need to get:
GRAD SCHOOL: because it seemed better than getting a real job. ;-D
