Here is a list of everything I've read to date in 2009

I've read and reviewed the following for Early Reviewers:

Read and reviewed for Harvill Secker (Random Books)

Read and reviewed for Dorling Kindersley

I'm a teacher of Psychology. I love a good bargain and spend more time than I should hunting down good second-hand books. I'm enjoying Asian fiction at the moment, but my knowledge is limited so any sugestions are always welcome.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaEver increasing...

I have an eclectic mix of books, but I especially enjoy fiction, psychological/supernatural horror, the Victorian period, the Tudors, a twisting thriller, a good ghost story, cook books, tales from foreign lands, learning something new and old favourites from childhood.

I'm not keen on hardback books unless they have some special attribute but I love a good paperback and I'm not afraid to bend the spine (although bending the corners of pages is a no-no!). I'd never say never, but as things stand the thought of an electronic reader leaves me cold.

Hi,

LibraryThing contacted me and indicated you were one of the winners of the Early Reviewer Giveaway. Please send me your e-mail address (mine is mail@christophertusa.com), and I'll send you a copy of the e-book.

Thanks for entering the giveaway,

Chris
Hi Bibliobeck,

I just saw your response in regards to my question on the "Bump in the Night" board. Thanks for the recommendations for Naomi's Room I will definately check it out.

Danielle
Thanks for your reply. I'll definitely keep on searching for freebies. Actually my son told me recently that he had heard of somewhere that offers free books so I'll have to look into that a bit harder and I'll definitely let you know if I come up with anything. It's great to have other 'booky' people to chat to about all these things. I didn't realise you were quite that close! I'm actually in Plymouth so probably about as far away as it's possible to get but still be in Devon, but it's really good to gather up a few more Brits on this site. Everyone I have chatted to so far has been lovely but I do feel a bit in the minority when they all start going on about some book that hasn't been published over here yet or something they've seen on TV that I've never heard of.
Hi Becky. I've just added you to my interesting libraries - hope you don't mind me having a bit of a browse. To be honest, I first became aware of you because of a question you posted on the ER site (I've only just signed up with ER and have been promised my first book so very excited about the whole thing). You asked whether anyone knew of any publishers in the UK who do ER copies and I just wondered whether you'd ever got an answer to your question and knew of anyone? I'm still trying to get my head around the idea that there are people out there who actually give books away - can hardly believe it!
Best wishes
Hello and welcome to 40-Something Library Thingers! Please feel free to start topics. I have run out of ideas..:)
Hi bibliobeck,
Have just seen your message in the thread answering mine about the 'Tales of Mystery & the Supernatural' series published by Wordsworth. As its a time since you posted(sorry for the delay in answering) I thought that it would be best to get back to you on your own page.
Anyway the titles that I own already are The Bell in the Fog & Other Stories by Gertrude Atherton,The Bishop of Hell & Other Stories by Marjorie Bowen (Really good this one) The Crimson Blind & Other Stories by H.D.Everett (another good one) A Night on the Moor & Other Tales of Dread by R.Murray Gilchrist,Couching at the Door by D.K.Broster and The Right Hand of Doom & Other Tales of Soloman Kane. There are others in this series but I haven't got them.If you go to Wordsworth's web site you can view the whole list.
Hope this is of help and again regrets for not picking up earlier.
Let me know if I can be of any more help.
Best wishes
