Sobre mimPhysicist now working as a system engineer building spacecraft. Obsessive reader, interests are all over the map, always looking for good books!

I finally finished adding my library to my catalog! I'm only reviewing books as I read them, so let me know if you want an opinion about something that's rated but not reviewed.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaSome are mine, some I got from the library. I'm lucky enough to live in a county with one of the top library systems in the country, so I use it a *lot*.

Hi, Jim!
I was wondering if you would be so kind as to add this link to the Group Read for [The Picture of Dorian gray] when you set up the 2010 75 book challenge group. A bunch from the 1010 Challenge are going to be reading it starting in January and we would love to have more participants. It's alwasys more fun wiyth a large group - more ideas being shared.

Thanks.

Cheli

P.S. did you get much sniow this weekend? Hasppy Holidays!
So do you think there's going to be a 75 in 2010 group? I've just about given up on challenge threads - they're interesting, but I feel way too constricted. I want to pick up and read a book cause it's something I want to read, not because i need it to meet some challenge. Would love to join a group like this for next year...the parameters you established this year were perfect.

Hah...anything can be made better with the addition of zombies! :)
you asked on a comment thread a few days about [Dracula: the Undead] By Dacre Stoker. It's awful, but strangely enjoyable, because it is so unbelievably bad.
Well I'm back from 3 months of concentrated LIFE -- I'm afraid I skipped 177 messages on your second thread... I just couldn't do it! I *know* I missed all sorts of goodies. The rest of the year looks pretty clear and I'm looking forward to staying current :)
Hi Jim;
I've been enjoying the 75 book challange but it always takes me a while to find my section so I could post the next book.
Is it possible to alphabetize the group members to make it easier? Possibly grouping them in sections of the alphabet would be convenient i.e. a-e, f-k etc.
Just thought I'd ask.

oops LOL it appears I'm being repetitive ;->
Back at ya brother :)
To you too, m'dear. Nice to find a friendly message when I got back from physical therapy.
Thx and back at ya!
Too late. I'm already your friend. (I'm honored, anyway.) Hugs to you and Denita. Mary Lou
Jim,
I'm finishing up my second book on Monroe James Monroe: A Quest for a National Identity and then I have John Quincy Adams : A private Life, A public Life by Paul Nagel. In between I have Wedding of the Waters, a book about the making of the Erie Canal in the timespan around Monroe and JQA. I am so thrilled that this little quest that my sister and I started has blossomed into this great group - we never imagined that so many people would be this interested. I think it's great!

Stick with the O's we get back to the series sometime.
Thanks Jim!
