Probably not a good time to contact you - just read Tim's tweet about your site issues (commiserations). But I've been meaning to contact you for a while. I loved Everything is Miscellaneous but especially page 44 about how great it would be if our cookbooks were searchable like Epicurious.com. My new website, www.eatyourbooks.com does exactly that - it's a searchable index of recipes in your own cookbooks by main ingredient, recipe type, ethnicity, occasion, special diet. I thought you might be interested (you can now find every broccoli recipe you have) - please don't think this is spam. You are the only person on LT I have contacted directly as I thought it would appeal to you.
Thanks for writing "Everything is miscellaneous". I really enjoyed it. I study 'information management' in Holland, Europe. Your book really opened my eyes. Thanx!
I thoroughly enjoyed your interview on the EconTalk podcast regarding _Everything is Miscellaneous_ a while back. I found the discussion very thought-provoking, and I am looking forward to reading some of your work.
I'm reading "Everything is Miscellaneous" for San Jose School of Library & Information Science Information Retrieval course, very thought provoking, refreshing, and definately my favorite textbook yet!
Read Everything is Miscellaneous" recently and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Thought provoking book in many ways.
THANKS!
Just read "Everything is Miscellaneous" and wanted to say thank you for a rousing read. I am a librarian at a local college and I must say, my students caught me on more than one occasion getting very animated as I read the section on Wikipedia (curses!). Your book has inspired much talk in the library world which is never a bad thing. Cheers.
Thanks for this! Loved the book!
