Sobre a minha bibliotecaLooking at all of our tags, one can see that the library contains a large amount of genre fiction and science of all kinds. There is also a smattering of many other subjects as we both have an omnivorous taste in reading materials. This represents thirty-five years of collecting together and has survived numerous moves.

Ratings and reviews: These are primarily the opinion of pwh. As I have added books, I've come across a few that I wanted to say something about and so wrote a short review. If I only want to say that I think it is an excellent example of its type then it received a rating. Therefore my average rating is high but only a small number of books have received ratings at this point.

More reviews (by jmh) of recently published, nonfiction books are posted at http://www.macatea.com/atc/bookreviews/

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much I'm enjoying Take11. I created an account for my parents last night (they have a massive DVD collection!) and it's so much easier to build a collection with y'all then with the other places I've tried. Keep up the good work!
FYI, I created/added to a Take11 account this evening. Adding seems to be easy, and the site seems quite user-friendly to a luddite like me. I'll let you know if I have any questions or comments.

It will be a tough decision as to whether to pursue it, or continue with the IMBD database...
I see we share some common book interests.I see you enjoy Irish , British crime stories. I would recommend John Harvey an author who creates great characters and gritty tales.
great reading

Thanks for the info on Take11. I've signed up and am loving it so far. I think I'll be spending the rest of the afternoon there!
Thanks for the tip about Take11. It seems to be just the site I've been looking for, and I'm having a field day with it. Thanks so much!
Following excerpt is from One Good Knight by Mercedes Lackey, p. 219.

"Well, our family does that, too, of course," he said. "But our treasure is a bit different. We're librarians." ...

"Librarians," she said aloud, then grinned as she got it. "Good gods. You are Bookwyrms, aren't you?"

Gina stared at her a moment, then groaned as she got the pun. The Tradition loved puns.

"Yes, we are, " Periapt said proudly. "very much so. ... My library is cataloged and cross-cataloged and I have read every book in it at least once. I also collect all manner of information and I have created books of my own." ...

...Adamant said ..."Besides, the pure Bookwyrms need someone to defend them, right? There are always nasty Magicians trying to steal things out of the hoard."

"The library," Periapt corrected him.

"Um, yes, the library."
