Sobre mimLate-twenties, two children, one tolerant husband, 7 triple stacked bookcases (and one for my daughter), addictive personality (only when it comes to books and cheese though).
Picture is of my favourite place to read in the whole world, sadly it is now in another country as we moved from Switzerland in September 2008. Searching for a replacement.

My daughter is four and hopefully following in my footsteps. My son is too tiny yet, but I am hoping he will learn to love books too. Right now he is just a prop to rest a book on at 4am!

I also have an MA in Ancient History, I prefer Rome to Greece and I also did two years of university Latin, although I am very very rusty now. I am currently doing a second general degree with the OU (currently on hold) to keep my mind active whilst childrearing/bearing.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaI have only catalogued books I actually physically own and that are not up for swap or sale. These are my keepers!
I will read most books except really popular books (I tend to wait about ten years and then read it), chick lit (and the male equivalents) and self-help books. I prefer fantasy (especially stand alone novels), post-apocalyptic fiction and classic fiction (especially 18th century). I also have a soft spot for well written YA fiction/fantasy and books about serial killers/urban exploration/mental asylums.

Having said that if I am ever caught without a book I will read anything!

If anyone has any recommendations I am always happy to hear them!

Hi historywitch,

Thank you for adding my library to your interesting list. I'm looking forward to browsing through your impressive looking library too. I was even more impressed when I saw you only include the keepers. I started with the intention of doing this but I do pass on a lot of books as swaps and then don't have the heart to remove them from my list!

The Colchester library link brought back memories. I went to school in Colchester (whilst living in nearby village) so have lots of memories of the library and Colchester in general!
I am, yes - I recognised your name from dooyoo. I haven't added all my books, just a random selection.
Your blog is nice
Thank you for giving me an update! I think you've done about everything you can at this point. Would you be okay with waiting another week or so just in case? Beyond that, definitely feel free to cancel.
That's the one. It's really good. I had it on VHS but did the same thing - wore it out. Got the DVD this past summer and have watched it several times. I want to get the Greer Garson on DVD as well but now only have it on VHS.

The books came just now in the mail. I'm going to start reading them tonight and list them reserved for you later tonight. I'll email when they're listed. I should be able to get both read by my next mailing on November 8th, but if not I'll send them on the 15th.

We think alike. I'm reading it again now and I just sat threw the A&E DVD.

Hi Sarah,

Victoria's mailing them out today. I'll read them quickly so I can send them on to you with my next mailing (November 8). Pride and Prejudice is one of my all time favorties and I have been reading about these two but have never read them. Looking forward to reading and then mailing them to you.
