Sobre a minha bibliotecasomewhat eclectic, I like fiction, history, fantasy, non-fiction with socio-political themes, fiction and non fiction dealing with gruesome death and dismemberment (it's a lab thing), willing to try anything that will make me think!
I list books I have read, not that I own. I actually own many books I have never read as I inhierited books from my mom. Once read a book is yours for life even if it is not physically with you.

Hi, Thanks.I am happy to hear from you.
What's your favorite book..
Hi, Thanks for adding me as your friend.....
Have a great day
Hi Jane. Lovely to hear from you. Re my daughter's name...we thought Clowance might be too tricky so settled on using it for a second name. I read once that Winston Graham named the character after an historic house in Cornwall called Clowance Estate so I hope we can take Emma there one day. The Poldark books are a great read and it is a bit sad when you reach the end as they become a bit like family!
I'll have to give the Magus a try. I saw some of the movie based on The Collector once and the premise was so chilling, it always put me off reading the book. (Too much like Silence of the Lambs!) So the Magus is next!
Isn't this an amazing site? The guy who dreamt it up must be very happy with himself. It's just great to be able to chat to people all over the world about books.
I've just read Sue Gee's The Mysteries of Glass which was truly beautiful - a wonderful glimpse into the life of a young clergyman in 1860s rural England. Now...I'm halfway through Jennifer Johnston's The Captains and Kings. It's great...very restrained and quite moving.
Hi. Just noticed you have added one of the Poldark books which I love. (I have a daughter named Emma Clowance). You also have a few of my other alltime favourites, eg The French Lieutenant's Woman, The Handmaid's Tale, stuff by R.F. Delderfield, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Anne of Green Gables. I guess with 600 books, you have some of everybody's favourites! I"ve only read The French Lieutenant's Woman so wondered what your favourite John Fowles novel is.
Wow, 20 boxes! That's a dream come true! I love buying books from that generation without knowing anything about their story-lines. It's such a surprise, ( and occasionally a disappointment) to find out for myself!
It's nice to meet you! I look forward to exploring your books.
