It was great meeting you last weekend at the Ann Arbor Borders signing. I just finished Goblin Quest last night and will definitely be picking up the next two in the trilogy. A book hasn't made me so happy to read in a while, so thanks! Cheers!

Just dropping by for a quick hello. I've really enjoyed your participation in the Kerrytown Book Fest panels over the last couple of years. I finally got around to ordering a copy of Goblin Quest and it showed up in my mail yesterday. I'm really looking forward to starting it--I'll have to have you sign it next time I see you. Just finished an enjoyable browse through your reviews -- I now have several (more) interlibrary loan requests in process. (Darn it!) If the characters proves as engaging as advertised I may have to add to my book budget. Thanks for sharing, and I hope you'll consider reviewing some of the other titles in your catalog!

Definitely something new. The story is self contained, and there's no need for a sequel. Shelf Monks, perhaps?

Nice to meet another author. I'm afraid I've never read yours (although I am friends with Ed Greenwood's sister), but I've seen them on the shelves, and I'll put one on my list.

You're right, the rush is awesome. I also got my first blurb (provided he likes the book) from Eric McCormack, a Canadian author who's one of my heroes. I know the book will never sell much, and the mere fact that I got an established and respected publisher at all is a miracle (check out my review of the 'novel' Minnow Trap to understand my feelings on self-publishing *shudder).

Now, the real question becomes - why don't I have any ideas for a second novel? Am I a one-trick pony? Yeesh.
