Hi there

I noticed we share quite a few books and I am pleased to see your crown of stars for Brooklyn and The Little Stranger. I have Brooklyn sitting by the bed and looking forward to it. I

I also enjoyed The Easter Parade and The Secret Scripture and looking at your reading list for 2009 I agree with your ratings for all those books that I have also read.

Jenny
Hi, welcome to LT. Every now and again I explore some of the new members who show up on the 'recent' list of "members with my books" (column to the right). We share a terrific list of books! I'm reading more heavily into international authors these days, although currently am reading the forthcoming Margaret Atwood, which is a dystopian satire along the lines of Oryx and Crake, but I think she's having a bit more fun with this one. Well, I did want to stop in and say welcome, and I hope you enjoy LT as much as I have in the last 2 1/2 years! Best, Lois

PS: If you are interested, there is an "Atwoodians" group and an Oates group (called "I Lock the Door Upon Myself"). Neither are very chatty, but it's nice to be among other fans (of any level). I could send you invitations but don't want to put pressure on a newbie, if you're interested you can search from groups through the tab above or, for an easy link, just go to my profile page and both groups are listed under my groups.

Best, Lois

PS: I also love P.D. James but have not yet read the latest.
Hi, I just joined this site. I noticed that you're interested in Children's Books. Have you read The Fiscal Pear? Here's the site: http://fiscalpear.net/
Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Butcher Boy, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi, I just joined this site. I'm a relationship expert and I'm getting ready to a column on love advice & relationships. Anyway, just thought I would connect.
