Sobre mimI'm a librarian with a passion for archives and history. I'm still attached to my punk rock idealism from my youth. I believe strongly in the idea that libraries provide free access to books and information and have been trying not to purchase books for home unless I really love them and will go back to them again. That being said, I have a weakness for used bookstores, most especially the remainders sections at the Harvard University Press bookstore in Cambridge.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaProbably half of the books I own are still in my "waiting to be read" pile. The other half of the collection has been culled down to those that feel like old friends. I'll also include books that I've recently read, but are borrowed from the library.

I saw you have several Henry Petroski books. I read his History of the Pencil book. I thought it was a bit too long and it was kind of average overall. How did you like his other books?

If not, nice to meet you, anyway. I'm Kirsten and I also don't buy books unless I'm going to reread them frequently. Unfortunately, that's still a lot of books!
