Sobre mimNothing much about me, I am a Librarian working with students, trying to get them to enjoy books as much as I do. I, myself, is a bookworm. I, basically read anything. And I mean ANYTHING, but of course, I personally love the horror genre. Mystery / Thrillers is next in line and Literary is the third. True Crime is next. But I still read anything!
That is what happens when I've been shoved books under my nose by my parents and relatives since I was a kid. Particularly my mom.
Currently I am going through the process of reading every fiction (between work) in the place where I work, so I know which books that might interest the students. So that explains why my last 5 books read are mosly teens and children books.

I'm also trying to encourage the teens in my school to read more. But being on a limited government budget it's hard. So I'm making a wishlist just to get books for the school's library where I work![]()

The books in this library consist of books I have read since last 2006. Prior to that is either unlisted or just rated and not reviewed, because I don't really recall the storyline or so. But I still plan to reread some of them.
June 4th, 2007 : 4000 Books!
July 10th, 2008 : 5000 Books!
July 26th, 2008 : 6000 Books!
August 05th, 2008 : 7000 Books!
TBR = To be Read (yes, I have bunch of these. plus the ones I want to reread)
***-# is the places I have placed the books. (organizing them is a pain)
State of library = Still under listing them (books) all in.
Profile Picture= Egyptian Tarot Card of Death

Everybody has their own reading challenges to reduce their Mount to read pile of books. I, however, get a bit randy in challenges and I think I have gone overboard. It's hard to choose which books to read in a specific order. I salute the rest of my "Reading Challenge" prone reading aquantainces. But I have to get them all mixed up.
I, instead, have taken the step to get myself a reading log and managed (thanks to fyrefly98's little graph idea I managed to tweak it enough to play a part on my very own "Can You beat the Goal line?" challenge. *chuckles*

Under a sky the color of pea soup
she is looking at her work growing away there
actively, thickly like grapevines or pole beans
as things grow in the real world, slowly enough.
If you tend them properly, if you mulch, if you water,
if you provide birds that eat insects a home and winter food,
if the sun shines and you pick off caterpillars,
if the praying mantis comes and the ladybugs and the bees,
then the plants flourish, but at their own internal clock.
Connections are made slowly, sometimes they grow underground.
You cannot tell always by looking what is happening.
More than half the tree is spread out in the soil under your feet.
Penetrate quietly as the earthworm that blows no trumpet.
Fight persistently as the creeper that brings down the tree.
Spread like the squash plant that overruns the garden.
Gnaw in the dark and use the sun to make sugar.
Weave real connections, create real nodes, build real houses.
Live a life you can endure: Make love that is loving.
Keep tangling and interweaving and taking more in,
a thicket and bramble wilderness to the outside but to us
interconnected with rabbit runs and burrows and lairs.
Live as if you liked yourself, and it may happen:
reach out, keep reaching out, keep bringing in.
This is how we are going to live for a long time: not always,
for every gardener knows that after the digging, after
the planting,
after the long season of tending and growth, the harvest comes.

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Butcher Boy, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Since it looks like it should link places, but doesn't, I link the whole image to a catalog view with my currently reading books.
Hope that helps!
