Sobre mimThe long-awaited, famed Harmonic Capo is now available at http://www.weaseltrap.com/ Please help a nice man retire: buy many and often (ha ha).
Profile photo is of me being attacked by the Easter Kitty. Note halo over my head.
Other kitty: swee'tea

Sobre a minha bibliotecaIt's a mess. At least the books aren't stacked on the floor. They have shelves. I'm torn between non-fiction and trashy mysteries. There are also loads of books in foreign languages I don't read anymore.

Note: I'm updating my Also-on's, in case you tried to look them up and the connection was boooooogus.

I'm stalking you :)

Was great to see you the other week :)
aha! My kitties had kept the reference to pinky children to themselves... thank you for the explanation!

I will tell my kitties that I know of some of their cousins who have a good home. They will be happy about that. I only have rescue pets of one sort or another.. used to work for a vet.. saw terrible things.

Now I will check back to see more kitty ics on your profile!

:)

Hi Marf

I just read an old post of yours...
about the smell of books that have gone to Indian homes..

I am betting Nag Champa incense.....

easy to find and one of my faves...

I'm sure it'll take Yseult a few more years to write out her name! :-) Our first pet was a cat (Frisky) and he lived for 20 years. He would go out every day and we live on a busy street so for him to not get run over during that period of time proves he's pretty darn smart. Incidentally we have a nice little thread going about cats and dogs -- on a strategy message board of all places:

Hello Marf, it's good connecting with you. Thanks. Beautiful cat you have there. My father in law has a cat that's very similar -- and she acts like her name: Angel. Sincerely, Thomas
Greetings…

I am writing to you regarding a book project for your consideration. Basically, I am editing the second issue of hoi polloi – A Literary Journal for the Rest of Us and all proceeds benefit charity. This literary anthology features short fiction, creative non-fiction, essays and poetry. In addition, a section of the book is devoted to the craft of writing. In this second issue, I hope to include profiles on those individuals who enjoy writing reviews. I plan to include several sources of the review genre with a few individuals from each source. Sources would include Amazon.com, LibraryThing and Barnes and Noble, just to name a few. I understand you may have concerns about privacy and that is fine. If you would prefer to maintain anonymity, I will honor that wish.
If you have any suggestions, questions or concerns, please get back to me.
A suggested profile might include:

• Information about yourself?
• Information about your interest in books?
• Perhaps you have an interest in writing?
• Do you have a favorite genre of books?
• Favorite author(s)?
• Do you have a selection of books you would recommend?
• Are there any books / authors that have inspired you?
• We all know about the best-selling authors and books. What about little known books and authors…any you would like to share with the reader?
• If possible, do you have any favorite reviews that you have written that perhaps you could share with the reader?

You may have a public profile already entered on the site and you are welcome to use information from that source as well.
Also, you are welcome to participate in the literary submission portion of the book..
These are just a few sample questions and suggestions; you are encouraged to be flexible. Please feel free to skip over any questions or add your own. You may be more comfortable creating a free form profile. I am just offering these items as a guideline of suggestions to help trigger the thought process.
You are welcome to visit http://www.dogdayspress.com/ to learn more about our endeavor.
Thank you for your time and consideration and have a pleasant day.

hey friend, good to meet ye. ^_^
so which part of upstate were you from?
Thanks for your comment on my page! Please do keep your real current photo in your profile. Way too many people hiding behind images, photos or icons other than their own...

And besides, it's a nice photo! :-)

Yeah, if it's up to me then there's space for many more disgruntled people here, but you might wanna verify with an authentic Norwegian. After all, I'm only a guest in this country... ;-)
And don't give up too quickly on your location either. A reed hut by the water and/or campsite by small water is a pleasant place to be, if you know what I mean... ;-)

Greetings,
Evert
Heyla....Wood-engraver here.
My squirrel has no name; it really refers to me since some people do seem to think I am a wee bit "squirrelly"! I also feed our gang, along with the birds. Our cats get to watch from the windows and chitter away at it all!
Just so happens I have a VERY small SC flag. ;->

Dennis
Welcome to the group! The thing next to the flag is a grain of Carolina Gold rice. I've made a note on our page.

see you in second life next week:^)
I just keep things in a pile until I get back to entering information here. As my job is currently eating my time I have not read a great deal lately.
Marfita; peeked at your profile after reading some commments about second life. SO i clicked on the myspace url: Bob Kilgore is an amazing guitarist/musician! I am a non-player in comparison. I enjoyed one of his demos of the Harmonic Capo and will explore his music further in the future. Glad you have that URL listed. Please give Bob my regards! Cris, in PA. LT = cad_lib
Thanks for joining the Humor group.

Happy cataloging.
Re: Your review of "A Confederacy of Dunces": If you think the plot of the book and its provenance improbable, then you must not have spent a great deal of time in New Orleans. From that perspective, both are very familiar.
Thank you - sorted. I wanted to use the corn dog picture but then got depressed at how shitty I'm looking these days. Maybe it's because I have no corn dogs out here! The salted peanuts would cheer me up. I'm going onto the MSC site to see what Bob does!
I feel a right plonker, being a group of 1. I haven't had time to tell friends here - well, those that read, anyway. The rest will probably think that I've started a bookie operation in competition with the HK Jockey Club. . . I've a friend that just recommended books by William Boyd - says I'd like him because he writes all about the Brit colonial era. Ring a bell? HK Bookie
