Sobre mimI'm a writer of historical fiction. You can find out more about my books about Laura Ingalls Wilder's ancestors at www.melissawiley.com .
I'm also the stay-at-home mom of six young children. We are homeschoolers and love our "living-books" lifestyle. I blog about books, family adventures, and home education at Here in the Bonny Glen.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaMy husband is a writer too, and we joke that our decorating style is "Early Library." Books everywhere!
I'm going to list books here by category, starting with children's literature, books about home education, and other books that are particular favorites.

I just wanted to let you know that I've loved your books, especially Little House by Boston Bay ever since I was little. As a girl in high school now, I still reach for it on cold days when I just want to stay inside! It's a great book, and I just wanted you to know that teens like it too! (Or, at least I do...)
Thanks for what you write!

I first discovered your books as a second grader infatuated with Laura Ingalls Wilder. I have a vivid memory of pulling Little House by Boston Bay off the the shelf of our local library and bringing it over to my mother, complaining that someone had "copied Little House on the Prairie!" But of course I had to read it, if only to bemoan the poor mimicry that the author must certainly have made of Little House.
Needless to say I soon realized that no, you hadn't ripped off Laura. Your books became staples of my bookshelf, and I devoured each one, quickly and repeatedly, as it came out for the next couple of years.
My 10-year-old sister now has my well-worn copies of your books, but a few days ago I picked Down to the Bonny Glen off her dresser (where it sits for easy access at bedtime,) and was delighted at how much enjoyment I can still derive from Martha's story. I think that I might just have to reclaim the books for a while!
Thank you for so many happy moments.

And my account shows almost all of the books in our house. I love entering new books - my only problem is that I don't feel like taking out the books that I'm giving away (we're moving also.) My account is under awesmom
Welcome to LibraryThing!
