Sobre mimI'm a recently-retired dermatologist with a variety of interests. LT-wise, I'm obviously a Sherlockian: I'm the webmistress for the Adventuresses of Sherlock Holmes and one of a few female Baker Street Irregulars. A few years ago I went back to school and did all the coursework for an MA in Theater (Directing) and I enjoy crafts and design. I recently got two Swedish Vallhund puppies and have been re-reading all my dog training books -- I am a great fan of clicker training (CT, operant conditioning). I gave away most of my medical books so I could have more shelf space.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaMy first LT project was cataloging the Sherlock Holmes collection of my late professor & mentor, Dr Ben Smith. I originally did it to make it easier for his widow to find a dealer, but after so much work I decided to buy the collection myself. I'm now cataloging all my theater books (and trying to list all the plays I have) before moving on to actually DO some of the things under the "hobby" tag in my book collection.

I noticed you are a Sherlockian. You may be interested in my book, The Sherlock Holmes Triviography and Quiz Book.
Thanks,
Kathleen

Thanks for your reply and for agreeing to 'friends' status, which I have entered, and you need to click on as agreeing. At the moment it really only means that as you as we have a close interest in Conan Doyle and also it is rather more convenient to see immediately who is who. I understand Tim intends at some point to add features for 'friends' only, but that is in the future as I say.

Thanks for adding me to your 'Interesting Libraries' list. Considering that we have added each other, and indeed have between us such good Doyle/Holmes sections might it not be a good idea to add 'Friends' also.I will do nothing on this until I hear from you further.
By the way I was a member of the Conan Doyle Society when it was run from the UK. (suppose I still am,but have heard nothing from the chap who runs it,since he has moved to Canada.) It produced in it's time some excellent publications, both in the ACD Journal and in the various booklets that it put out.
Anyway all the best and I look forward to hearing from you again soon.

I've just started cataloging my theatre books as well... this will probably take me a year ... with my schedule, but I think it will be worthwhile. I'll be keeping an eye on what we "share." I just really got started... took me a couple of hours for about 60 books (these had not been put on my shelves yet)... so at that pace, with over 1000+ books in collection... it's going to be a process. Maybe you have some suggestions ... I'm finding it hard to be consistent with what I capture for each title... more later. best regards. irmbrown

I've just purely by chance come across your wonderful collection of Sherlock Holmes items. I thought that I had a lot but I have changed my mind now.Mine are tagged 'Conan Doyle Collection'.
I was also interested in reading in your profile how you came to acquire your books,of which we seem to share some 206 works.
Will enjoy looking through your listing at leisure and getting some ideas for new acquisitions.
Bast wishes.
