Sobre mimI am a children's book author, compulsive book collector, and reader. I write mostly about science and medicine, although I'm currently working on a young adult novel. I recently received my MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaI thought it would be interesting to begin by cataloging the books I read for my MFA program. I'm starting to add books that I'm reading now. I've listed my own books, too. My reading tastes are ... eclectic.

I haven't been on Library Thing in ages and just found your question about Holder of the World. Here's the first sentence:
"I live in three time zones simultaneously, and I don't mean Eastern, Central and Pacific. I mean the past, the present and the future."
As for my novel, (currently titled 'Richard's Daughter', which is how the Anglo Saxon Chronicle always refers to Emma) I have created 13 character profiles...about 3 pages each. (5 more profiles to go.) I'm using Elizabeth George's book "Write Away" as a guide for starters, then I'll go back to Lukeman's book (your suggestion!) to round them out even more. Scenes are finally starting to appear in my head! And I'm still doing research! Ordered 3 more books today.
