Sobre mimHello, I'm Mandie and I love books.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaI've listed all the books which I own (and have read) - now it's on to the difficult task of listing all the ones I've ever read. These will range from children's books right up to the ones I read for my degree in Sociology and Women's Studies. It will also depend on how good my memory is...

My favourite genres are fantasy, history, fairy stories, historical fiction and biographies of classic film stars. But basically I'll read anything. :)

I'm trying to review books as I read/re-read them. I don't try to write academic reviews - just how a book made me felt.

Hi, I just joined this site. I noticed that you're a Da Vinci Code fan. Have you read Synarchy? Here's a link: www.synarchynovel.com/
Hello again,

Thank you for your advice on film biographies - I'm going to look out for a few.

As you have an interest in both folklore and Viragos, I wonder have you come across "The Robbber Bridegroom" by Eudora Welty. The story is from the brothers Grimm, but it has been given a more grown up feel and relocated to Mississippi. I read it earlier this year and loved it.

I should also draw your attention to the Virago Modern Classics group .....

Happy Halloween!!! :D
Hello Mandie,

Thank you for considering my library interesting!

I am reading lots of biography recently and would appreciate any tips on film biography. It's an area I know little about but you clearly have some expertise! I have read Charlie Chaplin's and Katherine Hepburn's autobiographies (and loved them both) some years ago but I don't know where to go next!

Squeeeeeeeeee! :D
Hi Mandie! Thanks for taking a peek at my library! I hope you find some interesting ones of mine to add to yours!
