Great! I'm glad I fulfilled my Santa duties adequately :). Enjoy Wicked Lovely, it was definitely a winner for me (also, did you know Melissa Marr did an adult short story in the anthology Unbound? I really would recommend that as well, if you like Wicked Lovely.).

Yes; already have - after I wrote to you I went back and looked at all that red, waited for the book to be requested, thought about the fact that it may be about Book Crossing - and still so mad I didn't care! So I sent a little note to see what admin come up with! And felt much better. LOL!

On a lighter note, I should be able to get to the P.O. this Sunday so, at least, one much-wanted book will be heading your way soon.

Susie - I have some bad news; your angel request was rejected with this excuse: Sorry, I had a previous request for this book and am now able to send it to them. None of this makes any sense to me as the book has never been requested by anyone before so I left a -1 feedback and I am seriously considering hitting abuse. I am so mad!

Got a notification about your 'angel' request today that she is delaying for a month before posting. :(
Though, as you said you didn't mind waiting, and I am OK with this, I am not too worried. What I am worried about is she has cancelled requests, with the reason that, until she gets a book, she is not sending any!!!! And the one she is waiting for is coming - literally - slow boat from China.!!!

If you are unhappy with this - let me know if you want me to cancel. Otherwise we can wait, as patiently as possible, and see what happens in a month.
A very new, very young member, methinks. :)

Ah, see, that falls under "books in print that I can get from the library if necessary". I'd be more interested if it had certain out-of-print books cheaply, which is doubtful, since nowhere else has them cheaply either.

Well, I'm a day late (and always a dollar short) all around. I was snooping around grelobe's library for a book I haven't read yet, and you beat me through it. Then I came over here to do the same and to tell you about Whose Body, and Joe beat me to that! I am a Sayers lover, and I would definitely not recommend Whose Body as your first venture.
For me "cozy" implies a certain cuteness of style, and Sayers writes a straight mystery with no intrusions by the author. She wrote in the late 20's through the 30's and gives her books an amazing flavor of the times. The Nine Tailors is probably her best book if you can get through all the complications about change ringing. If you like romance (no sex - just well-mannered unrequited passion), you should start with Strong Poison. The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club which is set just after WWI and is a typical Sayers and a good starting point. I also loved Murder Must Advertise except for one too whimsical little thread. So there!
So now let me see what I can find here unless somebody else has beaten me to it!

Hi, susiesharp. "Is Whose Body a cozy mystery?" I'm never sure I know what a cozy is, but it has some of its elements in my mind - "clean", reserved, old-fashioned in a charming way, British, witty. But it doesn't have the English village part that I associate with cozies.

Sayers fans will tell you that, while this is the first in the Lord Peter Wimsey series, and well worth reading, her writing in the series improves greatly after this one. Nine Tailors is a knockout, the Harriet Vane ones are great, as are all the others for differing reasons.

Hi Susie, I do love Juliet Marillier and I plan on eventurally reading all her books. I am just this last year or so starting to read fantasy and so far I have really enjoyed what I have read. I am going with "Fantasy" as one of my reading categories next year on the 1010 Challenge, so hopefully, will be able to fit her into that. Of course the only book of hers my library doesn't carry is Daughter of the Forest, so I'll have to be sure and order it soon. See you on the threads.
