Done, thanks for your vigilance!
I looked at what books we share from that thread about MWYB. I noticed you have "The Hamlyn Herb Book" and "The Herb Book", both by Arabella Boxer. I only have the second. These have apparently been combined into the same work. But since you have both books, can you say if they really are two editions of the same work? If not, we should correct the combining mistake.
Is "Leaves from a Walnut Tree" a must-own? I know Elizabeth David was fan, so that's a silly question, but I'd be interested in hearing your opinion.
I'm writing because I noticed you have a book by Andrew Dornenburg in your library. I wanted to let you know that he'll be on LibraryThing for a few weeks (until December 5th), participating in an Author Chat. So stop on by and ask Andrew a question:

Your library is making me hungry.
Hi, where are you from? Just the ending of your nick is a bit slavic.
We have 69 cookbooks in common! I'll have to browse the rest of your collection for ideas!
Wow! You have entered over 3500+ books and I am about 1/2 way done at 1100+ and the ONLY two books that we share are "The Joy of Cooking" (which EVERYBODY has) and "Three Rivers Cookbook" (which practically NOBODY has) - I am simply astounded.
You have an amazing cookbook collection - is this linked to your profession or is it a hobby? We share 230 books but my collection is a lot smaller than yours - 636 cookbooks and 134 other books on food and drink. I'd be fascinated to know how you accumulated your collection and how much you use them for cooking. My story is that I was always a keen collector and when I wanted to set up a business from home in 1997, I started a website selling cookbooks. I had about 8,000 books on there from the UK, Australia & NZ (I decided not to break into the US market) and I loved it but I couldn't make enough money to warrant the time and expense I was spending on it. The giant online booksellers such as amazon could undercut on price due to their volume sales so no matter how many great feature I had on my website I couldn't compete. So now it's back to being a hobby. I still have to buy new cookbooks despite not really ever needing another one (though I'm trying to be much more discriminating). I really should sell off the books in my basement that I never look at (I got sent a lot of books by publishers when I had the website) though I'm not sure how to go about it. amazon.com seems to have loads of every book I might want to sell.

Anyway, I've gone on long enough.

Hi,

I see you own quite a few russian-language cookbooks. Would you recommend any of them? I'm interested mostly in ethnic ex-soviet union cuisine, such as Armenian and Georgian.

Thanks,

J
Thank you! I already own "New Food of Life" which is said to be one of the best Persian cookbooks around, but when I had a short peak at "Persian Kitchen", I loved the pictures. I think I may consider buying it soon ;)
Hi,

I saw you owned Neda Afrashis "Persian Kitchen", how do you like it?
