Sobre mimI've been reading LibraryThing chat forums for a long time now and have bought and read some very interesting books from the conversations and recommendations on it. So many in fact that I finally decided to join myself and to try and follow some of the challenges if for no other reason than to keep track of what I do read. One of the worst things I find is I read a book and after a couple of years can remember no more about it than I read it.
I hope to be able to add reviews of books I read from now on here to try and stop this memory-deficient problem and as I go along to add books from my library onto here as well based on the proviso than not only have I read them but that I can remember them!
I'm very fortunate because my partner is an avid reader as well and we enjoy nothing more than relaxing after work and reading, trying not to be too distracted by our attention seeking cat who always wants more food than is good for him. Our dream is to open up an old fashioned bookstore with plenty of quiet corners for regular visitors to come and enjoy books and share with us their thoughts on their favourite books.
My 999 Challenge - so far - can be found here;

Currently reading:
Sobre a minha bibliotecaI'm a sucker for weekly / fortnightly collections as I find it's a good way to get books I wouldn't normally buy, so I have a quite varied collection of fiction, from The Great Writer's collection of authors over the last 400 years to the Banned Books collection published recently by a newspaper which are mainly 20th century writers.
I'm also very interested in History and historical figures so have a lot of biographies I have yet to get around to reading. I'm hoping that by using the idea of reading so many books per year from several different categories I can get through more than just my usual mix of crime or sci-fi I tend to read.
I've joined the 999 challenge, I think that the categories of books I've chosen there tell you more about my library than I could say here and I look forward to talking to people who have read books I am reading or have read and sharing ideas and opinions on them.

Mark and I have been discussing the possibility of another group read in November and want your input. We have narrowed it down to two books at this point. "The People of the Book" by Geraldine Brooks and "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield. So chat it up with friends or us and let us know if you are up for it and what you think. Probably the same plan as with "Pillars of the Earth" which seemed to work out perfectly for almost all of us.
Think it over and give one of us a shout.
hugs and looking forward to hearing from you,

It's very sweet of you and of course I need no thanks - it was my pleasure! But I've left my address on the back of the envelope anyway; I just hope it's legible!
Oh, I almost forgot. You'll have to excuse the envelope being only addressed to your house, as you didn't give me your name. It's a longish brown envelope, I'm sure you'll know when you see it.

Well, I would like to sell some of my art but the one thing that stops me is the worry of copyright. You see my bookmarks are based on illustrations my Jane Ray and many, many of my other creations have elements of other peoples work in them (photographs, illustrations etc..). It's a tricky thing to navigate so so far I've just avoided it. But it's really sweet of your friend to say so :-)

You're very welcome to a bookmark or two if you like? I don't have any ready made to hand but I could definitely rustle up a couple for you.
