Sorry if the title was too vague.

Written by - a chinese author. most probably south east asian

Genre - fiction but written in a bibliographic sense (third person pov)

general remembrance of the story - girl was born to a kitchen servant of a large matriarchial family. she also became a servant. she became a favourite of the matriarch somewhere in her teens, where she was a good back "knocker" (masseuse).

(confused about this part) I believe she was raped by one of the young masters of the house, while throwing out his pisspot, and got pregnant. one of the last scenes in the book was of the family being cursed by her, and the family broke apart in very nasty ways... (and for some reason, I vaguely remember a huge storm that's a foreshadowing of the curse).
