Many novice authors seem to think that writing a humorous first novel will be easier than writing a more straightforward narrative. Many novice authors are wrong. [b:Off to Be the Wizard|17713508|Off to Be the Wizard|Scott Meyer|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1364823191s/17713508.jpg|24775619] has an interesting premise, which I will not divulge lest I set loose too many spoilers. But suffice it to say that the story is fun, the humor is gentle and natural (not forced or too ha-ha funny), and the characters likable. ( )

What an excellent book!
I enjoyed it very much and even found myself laughing out loud while reading it, which has never happened to me before.
I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the next ones. ( )

This is a funny book, written by a funny guy. I recommend it if you are a person. ( )

If you want Sci-fi, Magic, and Humor then this is the book for you. The entire cast of characters are loveable and you can't help but become invested in their shenanigans. Its also a wonderful take on the idea that we're all apart of a computer programe ( )

quite enjoyable, easy to read. felt like a phun juvenile... here's hoping there are sequels :) ( )
