The main female character in this book is one of the best I have ever read. This book is about a woman who witnesses a horrible crime against her best friend. But the twists and turns in this book will shock you. I read it front to back in one day! One of the scariest books I've read! WOW- is all I can say about this book. It starts out fast and keeps the pace up through the entire novel. This book is graphic and doesn't leave too much to the imagination with the descriptive and sometimes morbid language. Highly recomended. One of the best Koontz books out there, as well as one of the best villians ever. The book is extremly fast paced, never lets up, basically impossible to put down. Their are really only two characters, the hero and the villian. Both have excellent character development, although the villian got an intrigiung amount of development, really putting you into his head. A must read for any Koontz fan, and really, for any suspense/thriller fan as well. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

Great book, I was hanging on every word and actually sarificed sleep in order to find out what came next. I adore horror/suspense novels that manage to employ realistic (i.e., non-supernatural) antagonists in well-written, original plots -- unfortunately such works are few and far between, but this book measured up nicely.
I was literally on the edge of my seat reading this story. The title sums up both the book itself, *and* the experience of reading it. :)
