I was given this book in return for a review, and this is something that happens a lot in my world as you can imagine. Sometimes it’s a good thing and sometimes its not! I’m so glad to tell you that this one was a fabulous thing! I love nothing more than shining a light on books by Indie Authors! This book deals with a lot of different situations. You meet Kelsey a woman who has never been more than a pawn to her family in one way or another, they spent her entire life breaking her down in one way or another until finally she hit her breaking point, and left everything and I do mean everything behind. Which only shows you what a strong person she truly is. So we fast forward and find that she has her life on a track, maybe not where everyone else expects her to be but she’s making a life for herself and doing her way. Then she’s knocked off balance. In walks Riley, and he’s whew what word would do him justice, hmm well lets just say he’s Riley, confident, alluring and all out swoon worthy. But he’s just enough, not one of those to much guys that come off cocky. I have to say I totally fell for him within the first moments of meeting him. As we progress through with the romance and journey of Kelsey & Riley’s story you know eventually the other shoe will drop. And when it did I have to tell you that I think it crushed my heart and the aftermath blew all the tiny pieces away. Watching the fallout of these broken hearts is so raw and real, I can almost see it playing out in front of me. In this book there is Love, Hurt, Anguish, & Healing, it has some of the highest of highs I’ve ever read but it also brought you down to the lowest of lows. What will come when the fire burns and all that’s left is a smoldering pile of ash?
