This series is always my favorite go to for rereads because it has a little of everything: an alpha swoon worthy hero, a nerdy tutor, drama, and amazing side characters that round out the story so well you can’t help but want more. This first book introduces us to the main characters and from here you are sucked into the world of AlphaU and it’s a wonderful ride. Highly recommend. ( )

More insomnia reading. I found this series while browsing Amazon on my tablet at *mumble* o'clock in the middle of the night, and gave it a try.

I have to admit that the title turned me off a bit - the hashtag titles weren't doing it for me. I get that Hebert is trying to be quirky and show that this series is uber contemporary and on point with the Millennial generation, but I still roll my eyes a bit.

That said, this was cute. Not earth-shattering, but a nice predictable college romance. I found Romeo's alpha-male status frankly a bit annoying, but liked Rimmel, though thought the author was trying a tad bit too hard with her being studious, withdrawn, unfashionable, AND clumsy, and with a weird name to boot.

However, this series ate my brain. Like, legit ate my brain. I didn't sleep for about days while I read them at night after work. I came down with a massive cold due to lack of sleep because of this series. So, that's gotta say something, right? :-)

(Also, Maryland represent! It's a bit rare to find a book that takes place in Maryland just because unless the author's a native Marylander.) ( )

I'm not sure why I finished this. Too much misogynistic crap to be enjoyable. ( )

Ok, so it was predictable and kind of cheesy. Its a lot like the movie "She's all that" (actually, it pretty much is exactly the movie). But, I LOVED it. I really, really did. Can't wait for the next one. ( )

This story has a plot I’ve seen before. Mr. It is dared to go for the geeky girl. After getting to know her, he actually falls hard. The past and the outside world pop their bubble. Even though, I pretty much knew how things were going to go, I still really liked the delivery in this book. It’s a very sweet and sometimes sexy NA college romance. ( )
