Football and well other balls makes for a MMF Menage Sports Romance and a great one at that. Kane did an amazing job on the first book in Brimingham Rebels series. I love a good menage but this one is making the list of ones to read again. Like MMF? Like Football? Grab this book today! ( )

Everyone in the NFL, hell, the world, knows the Birmingham Rebels is the last stop before a player is done. Birmingham is a new franchise with two terrible years behind them and a rag tag bunch of players who have done everything from offend the entire NFL to be arrested for a variety of offenses. Yeah, these boys know they have one shot left and if they can’t get their shit together, even their last chance is going to be gone.

Everyone in the NFL knows where Cass Zielinski goes, Beau Perez goes. Cass is a dominant man with a love of threesomes. His preferred partners are Beau and a woman of their choosing. Thanks to a leaked sex tape, the whole world knows their preferences which is just one of the reasons they have both ended up in Birmingham. Though they now keep a lowish profile, Cass and Beau can’t deny their sexual desires and they’re both ready for something more permanent than a one-night stand. Additionally, though neither is ready to admit it aloud, they also want more with one another.

Birmingham is more than a last stop for players, it’s also the end of the road for some of the staff. Marian Treadwell survived a near-gang rape early in her coaching career and since that night, she has denied her desires. After all, it was her desire for a threesome that got her into trouble in the first place. Marian sees Birmingham as a fresh start, but from the moment she meets them, Beau and Cass threaten her resolve. They are both massive, strong men, who take their place on the team seriously, and their interest in her even more seriously. Beau is the “softer” of the two men and often must rein Cass in where Marian is concerned. It is Beau who breaks down Marian’s barriers and where Beau goes, Cass goes.

Beau and Cass are clear in their intentions toward Marian, but they know she is keeping a huge secret that is keeping her from giving herself fully to them. Additionally, Beau and Cass need to clear the air about their feelings and intentions toward one another. For everyone to get what they want, extreme measures need to taken and Cass and Beau have just the right idea to help everyone (and a few select others!) involved. It’s a wild idea, but it all goes well, at least three members of the Birmingham Rebels will have a bit more stability in their lives and that’s something the team desperately needs.

The Bottom Line: Holy Hannah was I surprised by this book!! I loved this book and have no shame in saying so 😊 Broken Play has a little bit of everything: misfits, romance, some good kink, and a cast of supporting characters that is going to carry this series for a good long while. Beau and Cass are solid characters with just enough darkness in their respective pasts to make them quite interesting. Marian is much the same which makes her a good match for Beau and Cass. The plot is infused with sex, sexual innuendo, and sexual tension, but it all makes sense to the plot. The characters are fully-developed with backstories that are interesting and twisted which makes them all the more fun to read. The dialogue is strong and carries the story and enhances each of the characters. The plot moves swiftly which makes this a quick read. The only small complaint I have about this read is how abruptly it ends, an issue I hope is worked out in future installments of the series. ( )

I have to admit that I played the part of cover whore for this book... I grabbed it and didn't even read the blurb. So I was a bit surprised when I realized it was going to be romantica with a bunch of hunky football players... en masse so to speak! Holy Moley! This book was so hot I think my kindle was smoking.

Cass, the team captain of Birmingham Rebels, is a take charge country boy complete with cowboy hat. He likes to be in control no matter whether he is on the field, in the locker room, in the coach's office, or in the bedroom. He's just that guy. Beau is a big tattooed teddy bear, the calm to Cass' storm. When Beau's addictions run away from him, Cass gets him clean and shows him how to shift his focus to women... well, a woman sandwich so to speak. And that lucky bitch Marian comes along and grabs the focus of both of these mmmen.

There was not a ton of plot here... we got some football drama, and a bit of a tortured heroine in Marian. But this book was more about the sizzling sinful smmmexytime. We also got good introductions to the rest of the team which will be the focus on the series. But goodness, that is a lot of beefcake kinkery going on there. Phew! This is definitely a book for mature audiences who don't mind MFM, MMF, and even some MMFMM. You definitely don't want to read this one in public. I think I maintained a blush the whole time I was reading!

Definitely not your typical football story!! What I liked - the sex was sizzling hot and intense. Good thing because there was a lot of it! The characters were interesting. Loved Beau, Marian was ok but I did love the idea of a female football coach, Cass a bit gruff and I never really warmed up to him. What I didn't care for - I thought the characters could have been better developed. Especially the relationship between Cass & Beau. The story didn't really have any depth too it. I didn't really see much of a plot. Overall I walked away thinking that was OK and honestly will probably forget it. ( )

Wow!! I thought this was going to be another Football/Sports romance. I couldn't have been more wrong. This was a love story but it was HOT!!!!!!

Marian takes over as GM of the Birmingham Rebels Football team. She is tough but still has issues that are deep down inside that she likes to keep hidden. Cass and Beau are players on her team, they are very passionate and like to hook up for a threesome now and again. They get to know each other and Marian reveals her deepest wishes.

I don't think a book has made me blush before, but this one is steamy. The storyline was amazing, it's fun and the characters are full of love for each other it was great, I loved it. I would love to read more of Samantha Kanes work in the future. ( )
