Adira ao LibraryThing para descobrir se irá gostar deste livro. Ainda não há conversas na Discussão sobre este livro. I tried to read this years ago, but I didn't like it. I love other books by this author though (The Martian and Project Hail Mary), so I decided to give it another chance and actually finish it this time. Artemis has a great setting and a unique plot (once it gets going), but the main character is incredibly annoying. She constantly humble brags about herself, makes incredibly stupid decisions, and tells cringey jokes. She's not a good person, she's not a villain, she's not funny. There's really nothing interesting or entertaining about her. What a waste. Jazz Bashara is an Artemesian (Moon community) who is a principled, civic minded, genius... smuggler, who can't seem to rise out of poverty or avoid trouble. The language is a little rough, but that was true of this author's first book, "The Martian", too--it's just a bit more disconcerting coming from a female--beings how all our thoughts are pure and all. :-) The movie is still in development with Simon Kinberg (The Martian) and Aditya Sood signed on to produce, and Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, a team of Writer/Producers with the titles The Lego Movie, 22 Jump Street and Clone High in their credits, signed on to direct. The author has hinted that this is the first book of a series. I'll be watching for the movie and future books. :-) sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

Augmenting her limited income by smuggling contraband to survive on the Moon's wealthy city of Artemis, Jazz agrees to commit what seems to be a perfect, lucrative crime, only to find herself embroiled in a conspiracy for control of the city. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
