Knowing that there was a twist to each story keeps you guessing. Some endings were predictable and others were definitely twisted. Collects 16 short stories, each featuring a clever twist reminiscent of classic Hitchcock. In these stories, listeners are treated to a cadre of memorable characters, including a philandering husband whose wife fears that he'll be the victim of a knife-wielding maniac; a cop who finally catches his man, but is still troubled by the case ; and a salesman with something to hide. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

From the bestselling author of The Cold Moon, unabridged stories of spine-tingling suspense!
In the tradition of O. Henry and Edgar Allen Poe, Jeffery Deaver's latest collection of intricately plotted, bone-chilling short fiction includes an all-new story featuring Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs.
While best known for his twenty-four novels, Jeffery Deaver is also a short story master -- he is a three-time recipient of the Ellery Queen Reader's Award for Best Short Story, and he won the Short Story Dagger from the Crime Writers Association for a piece that appeared in his first short story collection, Twisted, of which The New York Times said: "A mystery hit for those who like their intrigue short and sweet . . . [the stories] feature tight, bare-bones plotting, and the sneaky tricks that Mr. Deaver's title promises."
With subjects ranging from a Westchester commuter to a brilliant Victorian England caper, the sneaky tricks are here in spades. More Twisted is Jeffery Deaver at the top of his crimewriting game.

This collection of short stories was the first anthology that I have read and the first book by Jeffery Deaver for that matter. I read a short story from this book between each novel that I read, eventually coming across, Locard's Principle, the first time I was introduced to Jeffery Deavers prolific character Lincoln Rhyme. This led to the purchase of The Broken Window, the ninth (or was it eleventh?) book in the Lincoln Rhyme Thrillers...which I've yet to read, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it when I do...
Yeahh, a good book, it's nice to be able to read a lot of stories in such a short amount of time, a publication such as this gives Deavers first-time readers a chance to see what sort of stories are included in his bibliography, letting decide whether or not they like his stories. I like his short stories and I'd like to read his novels in the future, I have some of his books but haven't read any others but this one. I hope Deaver chooses to release some More Twisted in the future :) (
