This is an electrifying crime thriller and the first book in the Talion series. An unknown character narrates the story in the first person, disclosing an account of details carried out by Roy and Susie. This lends a fascinating adventure to the book. I couldn’t help but divine who “ the voice “ belonged to.

Questions loomed before me as I read the intricate details of the plot. Waves of uneasiness passed over me for what was to come. The story is well-paced throughout, with narratives covering both Roy and Susie’s views, which relates both opinions objectively and allows the reader the opportunity to see what makes each character tick. By the end of the book, my jaw dropped open as a huge understanding swept over me.

I have nothing negative to say concerning this book. The only thing I will add is after reading the prologue, it slightly confused me, wondering how and where this fits into the story. All I will say is that it does become clear eventually and when it does…wow! The end of the novel is extremely satisfying, and it ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger, but that only added to my eagerness for more to come! ( )

The book was beautifully written, and the sub plots, storyline everything was top notch. The plot is unlike anything that I have read before. I found myself unable to put the book down because I was curious as to what would happen next. I can't wait to read the next installment! ( )

If you are looking for a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, ripping through pages just to find out what will happen next, then you have to check this book out. I was gripped from the very beginning and was kept guessing at what would happen next until the end. ( )
