great book, very african, great story line.

This is a great collection by the premier African author, Chinua Achebe.
Things Fall Apart- Focuses on the disintegration of the fabric of , and ultimately, African Culture by colonialism and its exports (religion, culture and way of life, and education). The hero of the novel, Okonkwo's, is a sad tragedy as soon as the first colonialist stepped foot in his home village...

No Longer At Ease- In a sequel to Things Fall Apart, the grandson of Okonkwo is parodoxically mirred in a cultural taboo that colonial religion was supposed to eradicate, and in a post-colonial rising and rooting evil, he is gets entangled in corruption- an evil hitherto unknown in pre-colonial Africa.

Finally in Arrow of God, the old traditions are supposed to mesh with the new, but guess what? You gotta read it to appreciate this, I consider, the best literary writing among the three.
