After finishing Her Fearful Symmetry today, which I liked, though not nearly as much as I loved her previous novel, The Time Traveler's Wife , I decided to pick up Coyote's Mate by Lora Leigh, which has been in my TBR pile for a while now. So far, so good, like with any LL work. :D

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffennegger
Went to the movies to see the The Time Traveler's Wife tonight. I was curious as to how they'd do it. I went with my daughter who has not read the book and she found it fairly ho-hum. As did I (and Eric Bana looked the same age ALL the time so it didn't help) but now I'll have to flick through ...

The Time Traveler's Wife was well worth reading:)
I am just about to read Skallagrigg by William Horwood. This is a re-read. I first read it in the late 1980's (when it was first published). This will be the third or fourth time.
I finished reading The Time Traveler's Wife , very pleased to have read it. I had been slightly put off by the "love story" aspect of the hype.

BN: I stayed up late to finish it, between that and the crying that went with it, I'm exhausted.
I stayed up till Midnight to finish Time Travelers Wife . I'm exhausted now.
ETA: I've decided this is not a movie I will be seeing in the theater, tear-jerkers are not things other people should have to see me watch.
Just finished a re-read of The Time Traveler's Wife . I meant to hit the highlights as a refresher for the movie but got a bit carried away and stayed awake until 3AM this morning to finish it.
Oh, I left out my opinion. I did very much enjoy Time Traveler's Wife . It was a beautiful story. I am sure I will reread it soon.

It bugs me when the settings of places I know well are wrong in movies. Most of the scenes in The Time Traveler's Wife take place in parts of Chicago I know and love, which was one of the reasons I enjoyed the book. The older neighborhoods of Chicago are very distinctive-looking, so when I saw ...
Don't even get me started again on how no one in the trailer for The Time Traveler's Wife has appropriate hair and eye color. And from the little glimpses I've seen, some of the settings are way off, too. When the author makes such a big deal out of those details, how hard is it to follow them?!
