Thanks for visiting, ladies! I checked the Librarything predictor after I finished The Da Vinci Code and it said that I probably would not like it, but it's been wrong before! I finished The Davinci Code and really enjoyed it. Went out and bought the movie. Only seen half of it so far since I started it late last night and left it at my friend house, but they seem to be following the book pretty well.

73. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I loved this. So many obscure details, clever codes and general running around - it's a real page-turner (and now I know why all museums and art galleries have that same smell that you only get in museums and galleries...). I think we have all the others at ...
I am currently reading The Davinci Code which despite all the bad reviews

I've just started The Da Vinci Code , which I never read when it was super-popular, and it's lots of fun. There was a stack of them in the book exchange at work, so I decided to read it ...

I suspect D. Brown of wanting to become a new Umberto Eco for chavs. The Da Vinci Code and his Langdon series seem like a poor attempt at something like Foucault's Pendulum.

Why do people think that they can (or need to) write the next Da Vinci Code ? If you write medical thrillers and have made your fortune writing medical thrillers, please don't get sidetracked and try to jump on a new bandwagon. Intervention by Cook was awful.

I'm nearly finished The Da vinci Code , and am quite enjoying it. Knights, monks, conspiracy theories, all make for a good read. Well, I have three suggestions. I hate to say it but you may be describing The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown. Despite its many weeks on best seller lists, it's not a great book, but it is fun and easy to read, and worth reading.

I'm kind of middle of the road on The Da Vinci Code . While I enjoyed it pretty well as a fast-paced thriller, I would by no means describe it as well written. The Da Vinci Code (movie) was awful!
I know this isn't a children's book, although many young adults read the book, which I didn't, but The Da Vinci Code has to be my least favourite film from a book.
The opposition to Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown doesn't make much sense to me either. The book is fiction, it makes claims about Jesus, yes, but its not saying those claims are true, they are just part of the reality of the novel.
