I was so happy when this book turned out to be more than just a simple retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Behind the scenes events take center stage and minor characters are filled out nicely. Very nice review of The Private Diary of Mr. Darcy. I enjoy reading a different opionion from my own and gave it a thumbs up. I actually kind of enjoyed this book because it was a very different view than we get from Pride and Prejudice. I don't think any modern writer can really ... ... any resources that really stood out to you or surprised you with their information? Also, was there a section or theme of Mr. Darcy's Private Diary that you especially enjoyed writing?

Both The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane and The Private Diary of Mr. Darcy sound really interesting...I'm glad that Georgiana gets a fuller characterization. She and Mary Bennet were the two side-characters I always ... There are some very mixed reviews about The Private Diary of Mr. Darcy here on LT. Some readers didn't like it much but I enjoyed it. It was a fun read, but just so you know, it is fluff. I enjoy a fluff read now and then. Wonderful review of The Private Diary of Mr. Darcy! I definitely have to put it on my to-read list, thank you! I whipped through this book in less than 24 hours. I read this morning before I went to work. I read as I walked to work. I snuck a couple pages in at work. I read at lunch and on my breaks. I read on my way home from work, and finished ... ... other's threads. I've had posts disappear too.

My latest ER book is a light, fluffy P&P knockoff that I managed to finish in about 2 hours. Told from Darcy's point of view, it covers the same sort of thing that all these books do. What I particularly liked about this book is the ... ... else getting The Devil's Company, but *I* haven't gotten it yet! Impatience is a virtue, isn't it? :-)
I do have The Private Diary of Mr. Darcy to keep me occupied, though. That arrived on Friday, June 12. ... you read Earth Abides. I loaned it to a friend at work and we were both really impressed by it.
