Instead of running out of plot, this story just got better and better, and more complex as the series went on. I absolutely adored City of Bones, as well as City of Ashes, but City of Glass easily topped them both. The characters, whom I already loved before reading this book, only became more real and human (well... sort of!). Back-stories became more complex and fleshed out, and new characters were introduced, most notably, a dark Shadowhunter named Sebastion, who is not really what he seems. This book was my favorite of the series, and I could not put it down! I think I lost a fair amount of sleep reading this book well into the night. If you are a fan of the first two books, or even if you thought they were okay, definitely read this one! Truths are revealed and beliefs shattered in the third and final installment of the Mortal Instruments trilogy. I loved, loved, loved this book!!!! ( )It saddened me that this is the last book in the series. I would love to read more about Jace and Clary. These books were so good that I've read them several times and plan to read them yet again in the near future. I want more from Cassandra Clare!! I must say, I rushed like a tornado through this book to get to the end, and will most likely re-read it to pick up what I missed. This was a thrilling conclusion to an exciting series. These books are good if you are trying to pass the time with some kick-butt thrills. However the writing style isn't fantastic, and this one felt particularly rushed as it had many spelling and gramatical errors. The characters were also fairly dramatic and would have detailed, repetitive conversations about their feelings during epic battles. It felt that the author was trying to jam anything she could possibly think up in the plot. The plot was complex though (if mildly predictable) and had many mentions to the previous books, so you might want to read them again. I have to say the end satisfied, and the series is good if your expectations aren't too high. If you are already into the trilogy, this one won't disappoint. Much to my surprise, I completely loved the Mortal Instruments series. Though the writing and plot weren't great, they were quite good and I found myself drawn into the story. I wanted Clary and Jace to work out, I wanted things to fix themselves. I wanted the good guys to win. I didn't expect to like this series at all, but I did. And I look forward to the next novel Clare writes. I finished this series in about a week and a 1/2, minus the city of fallen angels of course. I really feel that this is the way you have to read these books. If you can make it through the first one it ends up being worth it in the end. By the third book i was hooked and enjoyed the twists in the plot. I do feel, however, that this series could have been 3 books total including the CoFA. The first 2 books could have been combined into one and I would have been happier. I think that city of bones was a little slow and never really felt like a complete book. It was almost as if cassandra split the first book into two stories. In any case, I would recommend this series to anyone who likes sci-fi or fantasy and a little romance mixed in. It was overall a good story andI look forward to the City if Fallen Angels in 2011. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
