I am really looking forward to reading this book again. ( )A comedic genius up there with Robin Williams when it comes to imagination run wild. Would you believe that, having worked in BackPacker Hostels here in Australia, the amount of 'Western Europeans (Celts in the old days)' that travel with a 'towel' is amazing! I remember watching one Pom flap out his towel next to a Muslim upon his prayer rug at Bondi and say (holding up the HHGTTG) "this is my Religion...hows it going?". Simply awesome. I hear that Douglas Adams is alive an well and travelling around Oz in a Wicked Camper. This book contains all of Douglas Adams' books in the series (entitled the same as the first book) of 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.' It is a wonderful mesh of science fiction, comedy, farce, and parody as the reader follows Arthur Dent, a normal "earth-man" who is unsuspectingly and unwillingly thrust into a wild journey through space (and reality) when he is saved by his best friend (who is actually an alien from a small planet near the vicinity of Betelgeuse, and not Guildford, England) from the destruction of Earth. Loads of laughs and wit that is so ridiculous it makes a funny sort of sense, and therefore can scarcely be argued with. Douglas Adams is a genius in his writing and warms my heart to know men like him sharpen their pencil more than their tongue. I have been a fan and always will be. May he rest in peace. Douglas Adams, 1952-2001 If you're already a Hitchhiker's fan looking for a complete set, look no further; if youve never read them before (just what are you waiting for, the Earth to be demolished?!), look no further either. This edition of this work of staggering genius is an absolute stunner: thick, sturdy black leather cover with gold embossed title and artwork, gilt edges, golden ribbon bookmark, illustrated before each separate section. The pages are thin enough to make it the size of an average new release hardback, yet they are not so thin that they'll break upon turning. You can see the writing through the pages but with paper and ink being both of good quality this doesn't detract from the luxurious look of the book. If your copies of Hitchhiker's have suffered a trip around the galaxy too many or if you've never been on a trip around the galaxy and think it's about time you did, buy this. Celkom fajn knizka s absurdnym humorom v britskom podani. Kto ma cas a nevie co s nim, nech si to precita. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
