Throughout the book I couldn't help thinking it seemed familiar and I do think I have read this before but it was a good (re)read.

I didn't think it was as good as some other Patterson's though, maybe we need more than one book to know a character. ( )

Not as good ad the Alex Cross books, but worth the read. ( )

Story is very good but there isn't much suspense until the end. Everything comes together in the last couple of chapters. High reccommend as a beach read. Very good plot and character development. Wasn't always a page turner. At times, I wanted to skip over paragraphs. ( )

As fungirl503 said, this book is not an "usual" Patterson book. Apart from the small chapters, his trademark, the story reminded me of Mary Higgins Clark's style and themes (in her good - not best - times). Not a brilliant book, a bit repetitive in some parts, but really fast paced anyway and very hard to put down. Nice twists, nice ending, I hope poor Maggie can be happy after all :) ( )

Short, choppy 3-4 page chapters. No likeable characters. Gave up after 140 pages. ( )
