There is almost no English in the book. The alphabet page has English words to help in the pronunciation. Then there are no more English words until the appendix about the grammar. That appendix has two sections. First in Greek, then the same information in English. It also has a bidirectional dictionary in the back.
It comes with an accompanying 2 CD set which is professionally done with music and other sounds to enhance the spoken dialog and text.
As the class progressed, the book made more and more sense. I came to enjoy that it is all in the target language.
