This book is about a little girl who visits her grandma. They do all these fun activities together. Then one day the grandma starts acting differently. She has alzheimers. The end of the story the girl explains that even though her grandma is not the same she still loves her just as much.
USES: To teach about loving each other no matter what. To teach about how sometimes people get sick and doctors cannot do anything

This is a very good example of realistic fiction because it can happen around us. In this book, the grandma gets Alzheimer's disease and forgets many things. However, the granddaughter still loves her and does the things they used to do together. Teachers can use this book to introduce this kind of disease and tell students how to deal with it when it happens around them. This book is suitable for all elementary school students.
