Richard Allen's Pennsylvania slave master allowed him to preach to the slaves
and later let him buy his freedom.

Allen joined the Methodist Church and was elected the first Black Deacon.
After the separate seating controversy, he formed The first African church,
the African Methodist Episcopal Church (A.M.E.).

He became a Minister, preaching, converting, and inspiring many African Americans
while doctoring white people with Yellow Fever (Africans were alleged to be immune),
and helping slaves from The Underground Railroad find food, housing, jobs, and medical care.
