This book is about a shark name Gray who lives in a reef. Gray lives in a clan of sharks but he is a different kind of shark, a megalodon. Gray is getting bigger an bigger. The bigger he gets the hungrier he is. He was soon banned from his clan because he went out of his boundaries multiple times. His best friend Barkley went with him, where they met a group of other sharks who were banned from their own clan. They all came together and form a clan. The clan trained for weeks and learned how to fight. They fought against an evil group of sharks and won . So Gray got to see his mom again. Gray and his clan hunted and lived together. Shark wars begins in a remote shark clan, known as a 'shiver'. The main character Gray is by far the largest shark in his clan, and as such he needs to eat alot. Gray wanders outside of the kelp wall that shields the clan from being found by larger, more agressive clans. Gray is spotted by a huge tiger shark from a clan called Goblin clan. The rest of Gray's clan sees him as a danger to themselves and they exile him. they tell him that he can meet them at the tuna run, an event in which the great tuna swarms amass in the millions and the sharks feed. Gray swims off, determined to get to the tuna run meeting spot. He meets a group of other exils and they form a mini clan. The goblin clan recruits them and they learn advanced battle tacticts. however the goblin clan is engaged in a war with a fellow clan, and the new recruits leave horrified at the cruel battle tacticts of goblin clan. During the tuna run Gray finds his old clan and rejoins them.… (mais)

I picked up Shark Wars, the first book of a great series for my six year old who loves sharks. We read the book together and then purchased the other five books in the series. This book of course introduces the main characters in the series. We get to know Gray,our hero, and the history of the Big Blue and the shark kind who live there. Grey is faced with some big challenges, like being kicked out of his home territory and out into the world. There is a battle and many plot twists. Shark Wars leaves you waiting for the next book Battle of Riptide.… (mais)
