This book is for primary aged students. This story tells about a young boy named Alexander that can't decide. . . ever. Whether it be what game to play, or what to eat for lunch, Alexander always feel like he takes too long to decide, or chooses the wrong thing altogether. So, Alexander decides that he wants to make no more decisions anything. But as it turns out, that was a decision as well: a wrong one. Alexander learns that something decisions were simply based on what he knows, and that mistakes are okay, because you can always pick something different next time.
This book teaches children a valuable lesson about making choices which is very relevant as early elementary students get older and start to make decisions regarding their own life rather than their parents/teachers making them for them. This would be a great book to read to kindergarten/1st grade students in class or at home, and could be followed by a discussion about the decision they face in their own lives.… (mais)
