{My thoughts} – A cute little bedtime story for children. It helps to remind them of all the things they should be doing while getting ready for or right before they go to bed. I like how the words and the illustrations go together so nicely.

I think that any child could learn to enjoy having this book incorporated into their nightly reading routine. I could see it being used as a type of check list.

{My thoughts} – Blip deals with a power outage that causes them to be unplugged from their computer. They aren’t use to being unplugged but ends up spending time outside, doing new things, and making new friends. Eventually Blip ends up going back home and plugging back into his computer. Once he does that he begins to miss all the fun he’d had while he was unplugged.

I really like this book. It helps to show children that electronics aren’t everything and that they can potentially have more fun, without electronics. In today’s world it seems to be extremely difficult for children to walk away from electronics and do things outside of the electronic world. It’s not very often that children aren’t on a computer, game console or phone.

I think that many children could easily benefit from this book. I also think that parents can benefit from being able to show or teach their children that it is possible to have fun without the use of electronic devices.

I highly recommend this book for all home libraries.

{My thoughts} – This book has simple non distracting illustrations. They help to nicely portray the meaning of the words shared on each page. They help the reader to better understand the lesson within the pages. It is written well and to the point. It helps little children to understand that sometimes you get gifts that you might not want or have any use for, but the fact you got something is what really matters. What really matters is that someone had went out of their way to get that special gift for them and that they should appreciate it and be thankful for it. It is a timeless lesson that many children in todays society need to learn and should learn at a young age. I think this book could be beneficial to many bookshelves as it is a good lesson and one I look forward to sharing with my one year old when she is old enough to understand it.… (mais)
